The 70s is the most important decade for many countries like Bangladesh, Cambodia, Iran, Nicaragua, Uganda and many more. |

In Nicaragua, a revolution against the country's dictator Samoza regime led by the opposite party Sandinista National Liberation Army(FSLN) started in 1978 which finally ended up with more than 40,000 death by the Contra War in 1990. That revolution resulted in the FSLN in power in 1979 which was a communist one and had a strong alliance with the former USSR. That was a great threat and a matter of USA's prestige as it's geographical position and they had to counter Cuba as well. This incident shook the whole US defense and intelligence communities. Again in the Middle East USA had to lose its control from all over Iran because of the Iranian Islamic Revolution in 1979.
During Contra War (1981-1990) which was between Contra rebels and government-run by FSLA, the CIA played the most prominent role in term of collaborating with the Contras as the agency was ordered to assist all kind of assistance needed. Some sources said that CIA helped some former Samozian loyal officials to form Contra at Nicaragua -Honduras border.
Involving in Contra War and the Middle East situation then made the agency to face a tremendous financial crisis which led the agency doing kinds of stuff that would remind them as butchers in the pages of world history. At that moment the CIA started selling drugs in the USA's mainland. Mainly Cocaine. And that's how they beared the expenditures of the Contra War.
Based on that particular incident drug business of CIA in USA's mainland film director Michael Cuesta directed a film named Kill The Messenger in 2014 starring Jeremy Renner. In the film, the main character encircles around an investigative journalist who tries to expose the CIA's Contra War's secret and finally does. After that he was assassinated by CIA. Before publishing those secrets he attended a meeting where CIA officials warned him not to publish or he'll be killed but he didn't listen to them.
Now let's come to the practical situation of South Asia. If the CIA can flood their country with drugs just to run imperialistic works then armed forces & intelligence agencies of Myanmar can also develop their arsenal by the drug business. It's not a very new way to earn money. Taliban in Afghanistan also follows this way to run its massive force. So when it's come to the matter of Myanmar's one of prime enemy Bangladesh it's needless to say that with how much care they are handling their stuff.
Of course, the Burmese government got enough ascendancies in the Golden Triangle to make money in the particular aim of developing their armed forces as we all know that Golden Triangle is in the triangle of Burmese, Thai & Laos border. It means it's us, especially us who are strengthening the Burmese economy and armed forces who are imminent threats to us.
