This is the first phone in the series to include a high-refresh-rate display — a 6.5-inch 1080p LCD (20:9) with a refresh rate of up to 90Hz (with 60Hz and 45Hz modes too).

While the Redmi brand has grown in a variety of ways, the vanilla series remains at its foundation, focusing on value for money. With a number of important enhancements, including many firsts, the brand new Redmi 10 aims to shine in this area.

This is the first phone in the series to include a high-refresh-rate display — a 6.5-inch 1080p LCD (20:9) with a refresh rate of up to 90Hz (with 60Hz and 45Hz modes too). This is also the first phone to include MediaTek's new Helio G88 chipset, a modified version of the G85 that allows for a faster refresh rate at 1080p+ quality.

The Redmi 10 also has a 50MP primary camera, which is the greatest resolution in the series thus far (the Redmi Notes go higher, of course, but they cost more too). An 8MP ultrawide module, a 2MP macro camera, and a 2MP depth sensor are all included with one camera. The front-facing camera includes an 8MP sensor and is housed inside a punch hole.

The series is notorious for having larger-than-average batteries, and this model is no different: the 5,000 mAh battery supports 18W wired charging and 9W reverse charging. Despite its low price, this phone has a 22.5W charger.

Dual speakers and a 3.5mm headphone jack are among the other features. It includes a fingerprint reader on the side, and the selfie camera may be used to unlock the phone via facial recognition. The microSD slot, on the other hand, has vanished.

Out of the box, the phone runs Android 11 with MIUI 12.5 on top. Carbon Gray, Pebble White, and Sea Blue are the three hues available. There's no news on if a Pro model or other versions will be released.

The Xiaomi Redmi 10 comes standard with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage, but there will also be 4/128GB and 6/128GB models. These will cost $180, $200, and $220, respectively, with an August 20 release date.

According to rumors from China, the new phone would first be available in Malaysia for MYR650 (about $155). The 6/128GB model will cost MYR 750, and there will be no intermediate option.
