Best ways for Healthy Hair

Do you have limp, dull, dead, or dried-out hair? I've been there before! Though I am known in part for my golden locks, I work hard to keep my hair looking and feeling good.

For years, I struggled with split ends and breakage, resulting in choppy, stringy layers. To get my hair to where it is now, I had to do a lot of experimentation and finding out what works best for me. Does this ring true for you? Here are some of my recommendations for growing healthy, longer hair.

Here are my "hacks" for healthy hair, whether you want to grow your hair longer or just want to boost the integrity and overall health of your hair!

First and foremost, you do not have to wash your hair every day.

It strips your hair of natural oils that help coat the hair follicle and keep it safe when you wash it. Dry shampoo, on the other hand, is a lifesaver if you're like me and have fine, messy hair that doesn't look so cute when the roots are greasy.

Washing your hair less often will improve its overall appearance.

Here's how I wash my clothes on a regular basis:

Day 1: I usually wear my hair down and straight after washing it (and let it dry naturally without using heat).

Day 2: A little bit of dry shampoo goes a long way! It gives my roots a boost, and I typically leave it straight or curl it with a low-heat curling iron.

Day 3: At this stage, there is no avoiding the fact that my hair is greasy. I use dry shampoo on my roots and a dry conditioner on my ends to prevent them from being brittle. For the third day, a braid or some kind of updo is ideal.

Day 4: On this day, hats and scarves are my best friends, and I repeat the wash cycle.
